1.The first reason I chose Tay Keith is because of his catalog of artists. I've always wanted to be a music producer who couldn't be put in a box. I never want to have my sound be so similar that people just know it's me, I always wanted to sound Contrasted to an extent. Tay Keith is known for his Memphis sound as that was how he came into the industry, and where he is from. But he has also moved away from the Memphis sound with artists like BlocBoy JB and Drake to also work with artists Like Beyonce, Eminem, and more. Since Tay Keith has worked with different types of artists in different Genres and doing that has made his sound a lot more diverse than he would have just making Memphis beats. In an industry and society that by 24/7 you can be forgotten about if you just do the same old stuff, it's good to keep your sound as diverse as possible.

2. Another part of being diverse is having a distinguishable voice tag to go over your beats so when people listen, they know it's your beat. Tay Keith has arguably the most distinguishable one in the industry and he also has another tag with a reduced Drake vocal to show that he has made it as an industry producer also. Tay Keith taking pride in his voice tag has caused me to also take pride in my voice tag. The culture of Tay Keith’s voice tag is that, whenever you hear that tag the beat is given a boost in likeness. The song tends to get a longer or higher play chance if a good producer tag is heard on the song. I have a good voice tag for my beats that is known but I'm still looking for that industry tag that shows that I’ve made it from the underground to the industry. The easy sign is getting an industry artist to be your new tag as Tay Keith did with Drake.

3. In a way every producer has their own sound. It’s not an exact motif like jaws, the avengers, and the Jurassic Park theme, but it's more of the instruments and sound selection of an artist. I've always enjoyed Tay Keith’s sound selection as it is similar to mine where he uses bells a lot and his 808 carries the beats. Tay Keith has this certain 808 and Hi Hat that you can hear which can easily make the connection that Tay Keith Made the beat right off the bat. In my beats I actually use the Tay Keith hi hat because I just like the cleanliness and the crispness of the hi hat. His 808 is one of the highest praised 808 also because of how much bass is in it. If you sit in your car and that 808 hits you are guaranteed to start bobbing your head up and down.
